Scholarship Overview & Description:
Golden Door Scholars and organizations like us provide hope for the 1.2 million undocumented youth in the U.S. Since 2013, we have awarded college scholarships to 255 exceptional students from an applicant pool of over 4000 students. Golden Door Scholars attend 55 colleges and universities, including Davidson College, Wake Forest University and Emory University.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • DACA qualified (DACA is the result of President Obama’s 2012 Executive Order and is permission from U.S. immigration officials to stay in the U.S. for two years without fearing deportation. It is for youth who arrived as children and have lived in the U.S. for five years before June 15, 2012. DACA recipients can apply for driver’s licenses and work permits. Click here to learn more.)
  • Must have a high GPA
  • Taking advanced or challenging high school classes
  • Driven to excel and help others succeed too
  • Has held leadership positions or is involved in the community
  • Has applied for a variety of scholarships
  • Must purse a four-year degree at a Golden Door partner school

Open to DREAMers: Yes
Renewable: Yes, over 4 years (all scholars are expected to maintain at least a 3.0 GPA each semester)
