Chicago Aldermanic Black Caucus Scholarship

Organization & Scholarship Overview:
The Chicago Aldermanic Black Caucus was formed to ensure the coordination and collaboration amongst the black aldermen as they represent the issues most impactful to their black constituency. The 2019 Chicago Aldermanic Black Caucus Scholarships are non-renewable awards available to students pursuing a two year or four year degree from an accredited university. The scholarships are $2,500 and are given to students to help alleviate the cost of tuition, fees, room and board, and books. In order to be considered for these awards, an application and essay must be completed and submitted by no later than September 27, 2019. Awards will be notified to students on October 21, 2019. Students are required to report any outside scholarships to the school’s financial aid office.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be attending a 4 or 2 year accredited university as a full-time student
  • Must complete full application i.e google form or paper application
  • Must submit ONE recommendation from a teacher, faculty member, coach, or community leader
  • Must complete the 500-word essay prompt
  • Must submit completed application no later than September 27, 2019 11:59PMCT
