McKinsey Diverse Young Leaders Scholarship
Organization & Scholarship Overview:
The McKinsey Diverse Young Leaders Scholarship was established with the goal of supporting and building relationships with promising and diverse Chicago Public Schools students. The award includes:
- $1,000 towards your college education or other educational program supplementing your college education (for example, books or a study abroad program)
- Being matched with a mentor from the McKinsey Chicago office
- Multiple $1,000 awards will be granted.

Scholarship Requirements:
- Be a student at Chicago Public Schools graduating in Spring 2021
- Be of Black, African American, Hispanic, Latino, and/or part of Indigenous groups in North America
- Be able to establish to McKinsey evidence of your identity and right to work in the U.S.
- NO MINIMUM GPA OR TEST SCORE REQUIREMENT
- Have plans to enroll at a four-year accredited institution during the 2021-2022 academic year

- 250- to 500-word personal statement
- One (1) letter of recommendation (teacher, counselor, or employment manager)
- Resume (containing work experience, leadership experience, academic awards, activities, and volunteering experience)
Those selected for interviews will have two rounds
