STEM Scholar of Illinois

Scholarship & Organization Overview:
As a culture, we place a high priority on education and rightfully so. Having a higher education opens countless opportunities for yourself. Unfortunately, it comes with a steep price and for most people, it’s mounting debt. Education should be accessible to all regardless of their socioeconomic status.

To help bridge that gap, I have started a scholarship called the “STEM Scholar of Illinois.” The scholarship will seek to assist two Illinois high school seniors yearly who are pursuing a degree in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) while demonstrating a financial need. Two recipients will be selected who have a financial need based on academic performance, extracurricular/community activities, letter of recommendation, and essay question. Both recipients will receive a $2,500 award to be used towards the costs of tuition and fees, on-campus room and board, or required textbooks purchases.
