PepsiCo Juice to Succeed Scholarship
Organization & Scholarship Overview:
PepsiCo is one of the world’s leading food and beverage companies serving more than 200 countries and territories around the world. The Juice to Succeed Scholarship is designed to help deserving Chicago Public Schools high school Seniors in good standing who have been accepted to an accredited four-year college in the fall of 2021 and can demonstrate financial need. Up to 3 students will earn renewable scholarships of $50,000 each for undergraduate study. (PepsiCo employees and students of employees are not eligible for this opportunity, however are encouraged to leverage the Excel Scholarship through the PepsiCo Foundation.)

- Be a Chicago Public Schools graduating high school senior (class of 2022)
- Identify as Black or African-American and/or Hispanic or Latino
- Possess a minimum unweighted GPA of 2.5
- Be planning to pursue an undergraduate degree at a 4-year college or university
- Demonstrate financial need (as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid), leadership, and participation in school and community activities
- NO ACT/SAT TEST SCORES REQUIRED
- Essay (500-1000 words maximum) (either written essay OR video submission.)
- Student Aid Report (provided by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
- Two (2) letters of recommendation provided by a teacher, manager, professional mentor, etc. (uploaded into the Academic Works tool OR submitted electronically via the Charter Student applicant process.)
Open to DREAMers: No
Renewable: Yes; up to 3 for a total of 4 years. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study and continuation of the program by the PepsiCo Juice portfolio.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR REVIEW:
Scholarship Awards – If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a full ride award up to $50,000 (USD). Awards may be renewed at the same level for up to three additional years or until undergraduate degree requirements are completed, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study and continuation of the program by the PepsiCo Juice portfolio.
Awards are for undergraduate study only and may be used for tuition, books, room & board, meal plans, etc.
Selection of Recipients – Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of under-represented minority students in financial need, academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of goals and aspirations, and unusual personal or family circumstances. Financial need, as calculated by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid must be demonstrated for the student to receive an award. Selection of recipients is made by a team of volunteers selected by the Chicago Public School Scholarship team. Finalists will be selected through an additional interview process and will be notified early June to establish interview dates/times. In no instance does any officer or employee of PepsiCo play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Notification – All applicants will be notified by July 5th.
Payment of Scholarships – The Chicago Public School team (with the support of the Children First Fund) will process scholarship payments on behalf of the PepsiCo Juice portfolio. Payment will be made in one installment, early August 2022 upon receipt of enrollment documentation of scholarship recipients.
