Edward G. Irvin Scholarship Foundation
Organization & Scholarship Description:
The Edward G. Irvin Scholarship is provided by the Chicago (IL) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. It is awarded annually to graduating black male seniors and is designed to supplement some of the student’s extra collegiate expense, like books and fees.

Scholarship Qualifications:
- Open to graduating Chicagoland high school males of African-American descent ONLY
- Minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0
- ACT/SAT test score requirement has been waived this year
- Active participation in extracurricular activities and/or community service programs
Open to DREAMers: Yes
Renewable: Yes, $1,250 disbursed annually over 4 years. The student must maintain a minimum 2.75 GPA each semester and on a cumulative basis for
the duration college attendance. The $1,000 award is one-time.
