School of the Art Institute of Chicago College Arts Access Program
Scholarship & Organization Description
The College Arts Access Program (CAAP) is a college bridge program for Chicago Public Schools students committed to studying art and design. Developed to support exceptional students who demonstrate significant financial need, scholarships are provided to cover all program tuition and fees. Designed as a three-year, holistic program, CAAP prepares CPS high school students with the skills and preparation needed for admission to and success at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), another school of art and design, or any post-secondary institution. In addition to covering all tuition and fees associated with the program, students earn up to six college credits, receive academic advising, mentorship, and college admission support. If CAAP students are accepted to SAIC upon graduating from the program, they are eligible for special undergraduate scholarships and are guaranteed on-campus jobs.
