Marine Leadership Academy (MLA) Scholars Award

Scholarship Overview:
The MLA Scholars Award will be provided annually, in the spring, to a small number of Marine Leadership Academy seniors. This renewable award is intended to be a “last dollar scholarship” making up the difference between student aid and family contributions for those planning to enroll in a four year college or university. The MLA Scholars Award is open to all MLA senior applicants regardless of race, socioeconomic status, religion, sexual orientation, citizenship status, or any other background factors. This scholarship is seeking passionate young leaders with a demonstrated commitment to furthering their education.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a senior (class of 2021) student enrolled at Marine Leadership Academy
  • Must posses a minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA
  • NO ACT/SAT REQUIREMENT
  • Planning to attend a 4-year college/university for fall 2021
  • Must provide one (1) MLA Staff Member Nomination (School Counselor, Postsecondary Coach or 12th Grade Military Instructor) and one (1) Teacher/Counselor Recommendation Letter

Important Note: Nominators can provide a maximum of TWO nominations only. Please be sure to confirm your nomination prior to submitting your application. Nominations must come from a MLA School Counselor, Postsecondary Coach or 12th Grade Military Instructor.
