James Hardie Inclusion & Diversity Scholarship
Organization & Scholarship Overview:
At James Hardie Building Products (“the Company”) we are fully committed to being an inclusive and globally diverse workplace that reflects the communities we operate in and the markets we serve. The communities we operate in are an integral part of our success, and as part of our commitment to Inclusion and Diversity, we are sponsoring scholarships for high school students in those communities. The Company’s goal is to ease the financial burden on students who wish to pursue a post-secondary education. We will provide one scholarship per participating James Hardie plant or office location to an eligible student.

- Must be a graduating high school senior (class of 2022)
- Must posses a minimum unweighted 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Community service and extracurricular activities must range between 0-8 hours per week
- School counselor or teacher letter of recommendation
- Official documentation of ACT or SAT overall score (optional*)
*Test score requirement will be waived when necessary, and the GPA will take the entire 30% of the quantitative score.
- Unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale (transcript)
Essay – 1,000 words or less that answers the question: “How I Advocate for Inclusion & Diversity”
Open to DREAMers: Yes
Renewable: Yes; students can apply each year of your post-secondary career up to 4 years. Opportunity for renewal if you: (1) complete a short essay (200 words minimum, 500 words maximum) on how I still advocate for inclusion and diversity; (2) provide proof of successful completion of the previous school year (via transcripts); and (3) registration documents for the upcoming academic year.
